The first season of Balguerie Group newsletters is drawing to a close, and we are delighted to have been able to share with you our views on the latest developments in international logistics. These communications are also an opportunity for us to highlight the internal dynamics of our Group, and to strongly affirm our commitment to social, societal and environmental responsibility.

Although our services are uninterrupted, your newsletter is taking a summer break, and will be back in September to inform you of all the highlights: major geopolitical events directly affecting our joint activities, consequences on freight rate trends, market trends, etc.

In recent months, the news has been dominated by the US government’s various announcements on tariffs, which have plunged some markets into uncertainty. In addition to ongoing armed conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, international tensions have intensified with the emergence of new confrontations involving India and Pakistan, as well as Israel and Iran. These tensions are causing temporary but significant disruption to the entire supply chain. Port congestion is also one of the major disruptions to shipping during this period.

Our teams have done their utmost to meet these challenges and limit the repercussions on your shipments by anticipating your needs as far as possible, and by proposing suitable shipping schedules. Our aim will remain the same over the coming months: to keep you informed and support you in the development of your international trade.
