With 102 million tonnes of annual sea and river traffic, it is the leading port in France and the fourth largest in Northern Europe. Thanks to its network connected to over 660 ports worldwide, it ranks among the 20 best-connected ports in the world. On November 7th, HAROPA PORT marked a new milestone in its development with the announcement of ambitious industrial projects, including the creation of new logistics infrastructures, the reinforcement of bulk transport capacities and the launch of a hub dedicated to renewable energies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A STRATEGIC HUB FOR LOGISTICS AND INDUSTRY<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Located on the Seine axis, HAROPA PORT serves a vast hinterland, including the Paris region, France&#8217;s largest consumer market and Europe&#8217;s second largest with 25 million consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent events have highlighted efforts to transform industrial port areas (5,600 hectares) into true competitiveness clusters. Among the initiatives announced, projects linked to the circular economy and renewable energies complete the 1.3 billion euro investment program (2020-2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SUSTAINABLE AND INNOVATIVE LOGISTICS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>HAROPA PORT is committed to sustainable development. Energy transition is at the heart of its ambitions, with the development of multimodal solutions (rail, river, pipeline) and the preservation of 4,800 hectares of environmental space.
