To cope with these recent events, shipping companies are having to take steps to <strong>secure their goods<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SITUATION IN THE PORTS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The port of Ashdod, the main entry point for goods into the country, although still in operation at present, is facing staff shortages and tighter security controls, which are slowing down port handling operations. <strong>Congestion in the port<\/strong> is increasing, and some ships are being rerouted to the port of Haifa while others wait to be picked up. Anticipating the rerouting of ships is difficult at the moment, as companies are forced to <strong>adapt in real time<\/strong> to the advancing conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, shipowners remain vigilant about the safety of goods operating in the port of Haifa, which has become uncertain given the situation. For the time being, however, there is no impact on business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For ships carrying <strong>hazardous materials<\/strong>, local port authorities have introduced stricter entry procedures, making access to the main ports more difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WAR RISK TAX<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As Israel is already a <strong>high-risk zone<\/strong>, a tax is already in place for all shipments to the country.
